Alexander Manasiev creates works of original fine art in a variety of different media, including watercolor, oil painting, mixed media, and glass. His art is characterized by a strongly expressed individual creativity, simplicity, and unrestrained freedom in selecting colors, as well as a remarkable overall sense of balance in the composition.
Born in 1973, Alexander attended a fine arts academy in Blagoevgrad, Bulgaria before continuing his art education at the Southwest University "Neophit Rilski," where he graduated in 1992 with a diploma in fine arts. That same year, he participated in three exhibitions in France and an art festival in Macedonia. His work received high acclaim at these events.
His first solo exhibition took place in Blagoevgrad in 1999. Since then, Alexander has exhibited solo throughout Bulgaria and collectively in Saint Jean D'Angely (France), Hamburg (Germany), and Thessalonica (Greece). His art can be found in private collections in Bulgaria, France, Greece, Germany, Macedonia, Turkey, Iceland, Spain, Cyprus, Holland, Canada, and the United State. His work can also be seen in permanent exhibitions across Bulgaria.
Alexander is an associate member of the group of Blagoevgrad artists "Makedonia-Art," and regularly exhibits in their salons.
